Setting-up Automated Export to DGN

Use the DWG to DGN job to export one ore more DWG files to the DGN format.

When exporting to DGN, a seed file is necessary. Seed files are template DGN files that contain settings and attributes.

To export DWG files to DGN using an automatic job:

1. On the title bar, click your account name.
2. Select Drawings Automation from the menu.

   The Drawings Automation Jobs screen opens in your web browser.

3. Click New Job.
4. In the New Job window, select DWG Export.
5. To specify the files to export, do the following:
   1. Click Select files from cloud storage.
   2. In the Choose a drawing dialog box, navigate to the folder that stores the files to export to DGN.
   3. Select the files to export.
   4. Click OK.
6. To specify where to store the converted files, do the following:
   1. Click Select output location.
   2. Navigate to the target folder.
   3. Click OK.
7. In Parameters, do the following settings:
   • In Output name, specify the job name.
   • In Specify conversion units, select Master or Sub-units.
   • In Specify seed file, the template DGN file that contains settings and attributes.
8. Specify when to start the job:
   • One-time job. The job starts immediatelly after closing the dialog box.
   • Scheduled. The job starts at a specified date and time.
   • Recurring. The job starts at the specified date and time and repeats at regular intervals.
9. Optionally, enable Send notifications to e-mail to receive a message when the job is completed.
10. Click Start.

    The job appears in the list.
