Sharing Drawings Publicly

You can make a drawing publicly available by generating a unique URL and send it to other users. The URL allows view-only access to any user who has the link, without signing in to the application.

You can make a drawing publicly available by generating a unique URL and send it to other users. The URL allows view-only access to any user who has the link, without signing in to the application. However, you can specify a password to prevent unauthorized access to the drawing. You must share the password manually with the users that need access to the drawing.

Note: You cannot share drawings for which you have viewer permissions only.

  1. On the Cloud Storage palette, select the Cloud Storage where the drawing is saved.
  2. Navigate to the drawing to share.

    Use the Back  button to navigate one folder up within the path.

  3. On the Cloud Storage palette, do one of the following:
  4. In the Permissions dialog box, in Sharing link, switch the button on.

    A URL is automatically generated.

  5. Specify the expiry date options to apply:

    Note: The shared link expires at 11:59 PM on the specified day, based on your time zone.

  6. To specify a password, do the following:
    1. Switch Set password protection on.
    2. Type the password and click Set. The password must have minimum six characters.

      As you are typing, the password strength is automatically checked. For a strong password, use a mix of upper-case and lower-case letters and include numbers and symbols.

    The drawing is password protected. Only the users who have the password can open it.

    Note: The user who creates the shared link must share the password manually with the users that need access to the drawing.

  7. Click Copy.
  8. Paste the link into your email message and send it to other users.
  9. Close the dialog box.
