Managing System Options

The System Options page of the Options dialog box lets you manage options for the graphics area, as well as element colors.

To display the cursor as a crosshair:

  1. Do one of the following:
  2. In the Options dialog box, click System Options.
  3. Expand Graphics Area and select Display cursor as crosshair. This replaces your cursor with a crosshair.
  4. Click .

To set display options:

  1. Do one of the following:
  2. Expand Display.
  3. Expand Element Colors to set display colors of user interface elements such as the Model and Sheet background, cursors, and crosshairs.

    You can use the following options:

To set the model background color:

  1. Do one of the following:
  2. In the Options dialog box, click System Options.
  3. Expand Display.
  4. Expand Element Colors and under Interface element, specify Model Background.
  5. From the Color drop-down list, select a predefined color or use the Specify color option to specify a custom color.

    Optionally, click Reset Selected Item to revert to the default model background color.

  6. Click .

To set the sheet background color:

  1. Do one of the following:
  2. In the Options dialog box, click System Options.
  3. Expand Display.
  4. Expand Element Colors and under Interface element, specify Sheet Background.
  5. From the Color drop-down list, select a predefined color or use the Specify color option to specify a custom color.

    Optionally, click Reset Selected Item to revert to the default model background color.

  6. Click .

To reset all element colors:

  1. Do one of the following:
  2. In the Options dialog box, click System Options.
  3. Expand Display.
  4. Expand Element Colors
  5. Click Reset All.
  6. Click .

  Use the Find option to search for items in the Options dialog box.
