Setting User Preferences

The Preferences page lets you define the following options:

• Application to open drawings from email notifications

  You can open drawings from email notifications directly in the cloud or desktop application. You can specify the preferred application to use by default or specify your option every time you open the drawing.

• User interface language

  You can specify the language to use for the user interface. The user interface language determines the language used for menus, ribbons, and dialog boxes.

• Frequency of getting email notifications

  You can receive notifications in the following situations:

  • New comment thread
  • New, deleted or modified comment within a comment thread
  • Reply to a comment
  • Changed thread name
  • Add or delete an entity

  Additionally, you can specify notifications frequency preferences. For example, you may prefere to receive a daily notification rather than immediate notifications in order to minimize the number of received emails.

  Available options are:

  • Immediately on change
  • Hourly
  • Daily
  • Never
• Commenting settings

  You can enable or disable the voice recording transcription and the picture recording tags.

• Drawing Editor Layout

  You can switch between the modern ribbon interface and the classic toolbar interface for the drawing editor.

• Receive admin emails (available for Administrators only)

  If you are an administrator, you can get email notifications on user-related operations, such as adding and removing users.

At any time, you can restore the default user preferences by clicking Reset to default.

To specify the user interface language:

1. On the title bar, click the arrow button in front of your User Name and select My Profile.
2. In Preferences, in Select language, select an option.
3. Click Save Preferences.

To set the frequency of email notifications:

1. On the title bar, click the arrow button in front of your User Name and select My Profile.
2. In Preferences, select an option:
   • Immediately on change
   • Hourly
   • Daily
   • Never
3. Click Save Preferences.

   Note: To enable notification by email, in the Cloud Storage Explorer, right click a drawing and select Turn on email notifications.

To specify the commenting settings:

1. On the title bar, click the arrow button in front of your User Name and select My Profile.
2. In Preferences, in Commenting settings, select an option:
   • Show voice recording transcription
   • Show picture recording tags
3. Click Save Preferences.

To switch to the classic user interface:

1. On the title bar, click the arrow button in front of your User Name and select My Profile.
2. In Preferences, in Drawing Editor Layout, click Use Classic Mode.
3. Click Save Preferences.

To reset user preferences:

1. On the title bar, click the arrow button in front of your User Name and select My Profile.
2. In Preferences, click Reset to default.
3. Click Yes to confirm.
4. Click Save Preferences.
