Searching for Layers

In drawings with many Layers you can search for a specific Layer if you know a portion of the name using wildcards.

Use the Layers palette and the Layer Manager to search for specific layers.

To search for Layers:

1. Do one of the following:
   • Access the Layers palette.
   • Access the Layers Manager.
2. In the Filter expression box, type wildcards (? for a single character, or * for a string of characters) to list the matching Layer names.

   Examples:

   • Type "e*" to display all Layers starting with "e".
   • Type "*detail" to display all Layers ending with "detail" in the name.
