Locking Layers

Use the LockLayer command to lock the layer of a selected entity.

When you lock a Layer, you cannot select or modify entities on the Layer.

To unlock a Layer, use the UnlockLayer command.

To lock a Layer:

1. Click Format > Layer Tools > Lock Layer (or type LockLayer).
2. Do one of the following:
   • On the Layers palette, select Lock Layer from the flyout.
   • On the menu, click Format > Layer Tools > Lock Layer.
   • Type LockLayer.
3. In the graphics area, select an entity on the Layer you want to lock.
