Managing PageLayouts
PageLayouts are printing configurations stored in the drawing file. You can see the list of PageLayouts available for the Model and for Sheets and display their properties.
PageLayouts are printing configurations stored in the drawing file. You can define PageLayouts to apply as print defaults for the Model and for Sheets.
To open the Page Layout Manager:
- Bottom-left corner: click

- In the Sheets Manager, click the name of a Sheet.
- Click Options.
- Click Settings.
The Page Layout Manager displays the user-defined print configurations associated with the Model or the active Sheets.
- At the top of the dialog box the name of the specified Sheet is displayed.
- The Layouts section displays the list of Sheet Layouts available for the sheets of the current drawing.
- The Custom Layouts section displays the list of user-defined Layouts defined for the specified Sheet.
- At the bottom of the dialog box, Show dialog on creation of new sheets specifies whether the Page Layout Manager dialog box opens automatically when you create a new Sheet.
To create a new PageLayout:
- In the Page Layout Manager, click Add New Layout
.
- In the Custom Layouts section, select the new Layout and do the following:
- Click Rename
and type a Name for the new PageLayout.
- Press Enter.
- Click Settings
to set up the PageLayout.
- Do the necessary settings:
Set the printer or plotter, select a paper size, specify print scale and print range, and set additional options.

To display the PageLayout settings:
- Bottom-left corner: click

- In the Sheets Manager, click the name of a Sheet.
- Click Options.
- Click Settings.
- In the Page Layout Manager dialog box, select a PageLayout.
- Click Settings

The Page Layout dialog box displays the paper size, print scale, and print range and other printer settings. For detailed information about the Page Layout dialog box, see Setting Up PageLayouts.
- Click Edit.
- Click Edit.
- Click Tools

To edit a PageLayout:
- In the Page Layout Manager dialog box, select a PageLayout.
- Click Edit.
- Click Edit.
- Click Tools
, then Edit.
- In the Page Layout dialog box:

To import a PageLayout:
- In the Page Layout Manager dialog box, click Import to load PageLayouts contained in other drawing files (.dwg), drawing exchange files (.dxf), or drawing template files (.dwt).
- In the Page Layout Manager dialog box, click Import to load PageLayouts contained in other drawing files (.dwg), drawing exchange files (.dxf), or drawing template files (.dwt).
- In the Page Layout Manager dialog box, click Tools
> Import to load PageLayouts contained in other drawing files (.dwg), drawing exchange files (.dxf), or drawing template files (.dwt).
- In the Open dialog box, select the file name that contains the PageLayouts you want to import and click Open.
- In the Import Page Setups dialog box, select a PageLayout name.
- The PageLayout is added to the PageLayouts of the current drawing.
- Click OK.
- Click Close.
To delete a custom PageLayout:
- In the Page Layout Manager dialog box, select the Sheet for which you want to delete a PageLayout.
- In the Custom Layouts section, select the Layout to delete.
- Click Delete.
- Click Delete.
- Click Delete
.
- Click Delete.
